Acrylic Basti sets are medical-grade, durable, and designed to minimize leakage during therapy. Preparation: Position the patient face down (prone) on a massage table. Seal the Mould: Place the acrylic ring over the neck region. To make it leak-proof, apply a thin layer of wet dough (black gram flour) or a medical-grade sealant at the junction where the mould meets the skin. Oil Pouring: Slowly pour warm, medicated oil (such as Mahanarayana Taila or Ksheerabala Taila) into the acrylic reservoir. Temperature Maintenance: The oil must remain warm (around 40°C). Periodically remove a small portion of cooling oil and replace it with freshly warmed oil to maintain therapeutic warmth. Retention: Retain the oil for 30 to 45 minutes.
