Key Benefits
Enhanced Joint Mobility: Facilitates controlled dorsiflexion (pulling toes up) and plantarflexion (pointing toes down) to safely expand the ankle's range of motion. Targeted Tendon Strengthening: Utilizes mechanical resistance or eccentric loading to strengthen the Achilles tendon and surrounding foot ligaments. Pain Relief from Chronic Conditions: Helps break the pain cycle for Plantar Fasciitis and Achilles tendonitis through graduated stretching. Improved Stability and Balance: Strengthens supporting lower leg and calf muscles, reducing the risk of ankle sprains, strains, and falls. Safe Post-Injury Recovery: Provides a grounded, stable heavy-duty platform—unlike wobbly ankle boards—making it ideal for post-fracture, post-surgery, or stroke and nerve rehabilitation
How to Use
Setup the Device: Place the exerciser on a flat, stable, and non-slip surface directly in front of your chair. Take a Seat: Sit upright in a comfortable chair. Your thigh should be roughly parallel to the ground, with your knee bent at a 90-degree angle. Never stand on the device unless it is explicitly specified as a standing board by your therapist. Secure Your Foot: Place your bare or sock-covered foot firmly onto the boot or pedal platform. Fasten the built-in hook-and-loop (Velcro) straps snugly across your midfoot and ankle to keep your foot from sliding off during movements. Select Your Exercise: Depending on the model, you can orient your foot to target different muscle groups: Plantarflexion & Dorsiflexion (Up and Down): Push down with the front of your foot (like pressing a car gas pedal), then slowly let the spring resistance pull your toes back up toward your shins. Inversion & Eversion (Side to Side): If your device features a multi-directional pivoting joint, gently tilt your ankle inward (sole facing in) and outward (sole facing out) against the resistance. Adjust the Resistance: If you need more challenge, tighten the spring tension nuts or shift the footplate position along the numbered lever arm to compress the spring further.
